A photo studio (including a specialist aqua studio) in a multifunctional high-rise building needed to be light and welcoming, yet it had no access to natural light. We used different lighting types and shapes from robust spotlights and tube lights to light bulb strings and daylight bulbs to achieve a dynamic light flow.
The interior of the studio works through a contrast of patterns and finishes: Drop Paper with brutal concrete, lightweight plastic with heavy metals, transparent glass with thick vinyl rubber, and synthetic foil reflectors with natural wood. As the studio needed to be not only impressive design-wise but also highly functional and transformable, the choice of the materials allows for lots of flexibility as well.
